Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've been able to post here, so I thought I should give a little summary of what I've been up to. Some of you might already know this, but here's the story. I moved away from the place where I had lived most of my life, where my parents still live, because a hurricane affected the area severely. The house is still there and my parents are living in it, but I don't want to live in a place with such unreliable electricity and water services. Bad weather will inevitably return due to its position on the map and I don't want to find myself stranded in a place without power for a month in the future.
I'm still getting settled into my new home, still job hunting and dealing with all sorts of complications. I need to retake my driver's test, all of it, because mine doesn't transfer, despite it being basically the same thing in regards to driving laws. People keep getting my name wrong, they think my surname is my middle name, when in fact I don't have a middle name. I'm going for another interview tomorrow. I hope things go well. If anyone knows of a reliable company that can transport cars over the sea, please share. I'm looking to bring my own car over. Other complications include stuff that's mine being in mom's name and stuff that's hers in my name, which didn't matter when we lived in the same place, but is annoying now because one had to authorize the other "officially" before we can do anything with each other's belongings. I'm exhausted, but I'm not looking back, I want a reliable future that's worth it. I can't wait for it to be next year, when this is all over and behind me and I've been living in my apartment for months, that's another thing I need, an apartment. First the job, the license and the car, then the apartment and finally a chance to catch my breath.
