Mikari It was difficult, and I took this photo without any UV filters too (I recently purchased a set of 5 filters for $20 on Amazon, so you know, being prepared next time LOL). I tilted my camera upward on a tripod without me looking towards the sun itself (looking through the screen instead of looking through the eyepiece) and it worked perfectly LOL. I knew mobile phones are not gonna cut it, and of course, gotta protect the eyes if you don't have those special eclipse sunglasses (I didn't need it, I just needed some DIY tactics to get around this, plus I had those paper sunglasses that I get from the optometrist for my dilated eyes LOL).
Some of my DSLR-fanatic friends doubted me and my photography skills just because I have a little micro 4/3s camera with a little telephoto lens not as big as the DSLR-type telephoto lenses, but I triumphed that day and shut those people down. I had a tripod. They didn't. LOL.
