When I first opened WDC, I used a few original (well, I downloaded them for free at Creative Market LOL) images, such as the bunny favicon, because they normally represent spring. (not because of the Easter Bunny. haha!) Well, the scooter will still remain in the forum logo because that represents us always moving forward, having our own adventures, and because scooters are not as fast as those motorbikes and motorcycles, we just move along at a very simple pace. Thus, I chose the scooters.
I got this idea. I thought of tweaking/changing the forum theme every season, and because June is coming up, it indicates that summer is coming soon. Aside from our friendly scooter, the color scheme may change, the font on the forum logo may change, the body font (Google fonts) may also change, so on, and so forth. However, I also got this idea.
Sometime in early June, I plan on opening a thread that would allow everybody to share their ideas of how our next theme would look like. And as a start, I'll show you the screenshot of what our main forum page looks like.
If you love to play around with digital graphics, here is your chance to share some of your awesome work, or you can just show us a notated screenshot of this same page with info in it (for example, name of Google font, hex code of a particular color, etc. etc.).
Would this be something you'd like to see? I'm also open to some kind of compensation for your contributions too (maybe like more HBC Chips count, free graphics, etc.) if you would also like that. I think it'd be a fun project that we could do as a community.
Plus, I had to open this topic up because I know there will be times where I will be too busy (or too lazy) coming up with a new look for a new theme, so instead, I want this to be an open project. I sort of got this idea from Megan's Caludin.com forum, where periodically she would have a different banner and color scheme. This one, however, will be a whole redesigning of the entire theme (that includes the background image area where those clouds are, etc.).
So, let the talks begin!
