As you know, I was having a lot of trouble with the forum migration (the new host, in particular), and because it took me forever to wait until I get all my accesses and permissions to proceed with the forum migration, I ended up bringing the forum back to the old host. Still, ever since the return, the forum is doing quite well.
I was also having some troubles migrating some of my sites (my collective, for instance), primarily because even though I haven't made any changes with the exception of new content (new blog posts), some of the portions of my sites aren't working properly. I never expected that there would be a lot of restrictions on the host (not the owner, but the tech support working on the servers) and with no mention on the main website. There were limited server memory issues in which the tech support even refuse to increase it for several reasons. I had no choice but to move my collective back to the previous host.
Anyway, long story short. While I was losing patience with the whole wait, I started planning out and building "on a whim" projects. One is the rebuilding of my portfolio under a new URL. The other one, in which I really am looking forward to launching, is an upcoming health & beauty (with some coffee and tea) journal blog called Symmetry.
I have to admit, I have been getting into Korean skincare so much that it got me more interested in just (East) Asian beauty in general (I am an Asian after all), from its roots (traditional Oriental medicine) to their techniques and cultural beliefs today. I find them so fascinating, along with the connections between food and health in general, that it really prompted me to build this upcoming health & beauty journal. I was supposed to work on my portfolio and continue on with my web development classes, but I lose motivation for them and end up doing something else. Building Symmetry and searching around online shops for high quality (but cheap) Asian skincare happens to be one of them. Yesterday, I just started checking out Taiwanese skincare (based on traditional Chinese medicine) by purchasing a sampling of their sheet masks.
I wasn't quite sure where I should post this because this is such a general topic that happens a lot to builders, creatives, and lovers, so I posted it here on the Hodgepodge category.
What I posted earlier is just an example. What do you do when you're not motivated to complete your goals of the day?
